Tristan Thompson

Tristan Thompson is the Head of Trading for Optiver Asia Pacific (APAC) and has been with the global market maker for over 19 years.

Tristan holds extensive knowledge in trading single stock and Index option products across the APAC region. He joined Optiver in 2005 as an Options Market Maker trading on the ASX and has assumed leadership positions in the company since. He became the Head of Options Trading in 2014, before being appointed to his current role in 2017.

Tristan graduated from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where he completed a Co-op scholarship in Accounting and Finance. Outside of work, he is a sports enthusiast and has a passion for golf.
